Our commitments
Maison Aimi is a bridge between cultures and towards well-being. Passionate about Asia (and especially Japan), Charlotte returned from this trip with the desire to share Japanese culture while respecting our environment.
Local and organic culture
The cereals that are included in our preparations (infusions, baking powders and drink powders) are all from local cultivation and meet the challenges of organic farming. Thus, our barley and buckwheat are grown in the south of France. All our partner farmers are certified organic.
We made this choice for three reasons:
- employ professionals and farmers as close as possible to us;
- limit travel and the carbon impact of transport;
- the specifications for the organic designation are stricter in France, allowing for better product quality.
Artisanal production
Our workshops that process raw materials and package them are in France. Since some know-how is specific to Japan (this is the case, for example, for hulling buckwheat seeds for sobacha), we have called upon a craftsman who trained in this country and now works in France.
Again, this choice was motivated by:
- employ professionals close to us;
- limit travel and the carbon impact of transport.
Eco-friendly approach
Beyond the products we offer you, we have carefully thought about the packaging that surrounds them. Because we love beauty and cleanliness, it was necessary to combine pretty packaging with packaging that is clean for the environment.
This is why we have chosen to:
- a recycled aluminum box made in France and recyclable to ensure the perfect conservation of our products while affirming the image of our brand;
- recycled kraft paper bags for refillable products to limit waste.
Our goodies
In addition to our food products, we regularly offer accessories, boxes or additional products related to our brand. All these products are made with the help of craftsmen and women selected for their know-how and their values linked to ours.
