Our mugicha powder is a baking powder and a soluble beverage powder that will give your recipes a caramelized barley taste . It is ideal in mugicha latte with oat milk.

In Japanese, “mugicha” means “barley tea”. You will also find the expressions “roasted barley infusion” or “orzo coffee”, the name of this drink in Italy.

Our mugicha powder is made from 100% organic French barley , roasted and crushed in an artisanal way in France. It is packaged in a French aluminum box.

Mugicha Powder: The Mugicha Latte Recipe

Mugicha powder is used to create both drinks and pastries (our recipe booklet here).

Mugicha latte is a delicious drink with a sweet caramel flavor without theine or caffeine. It is super easy to make! Here is the recipe for mugicha latte :

  1. Put a teaspoon of mugicha powder in a cup
  2. Pour in hot milk while stirring well, ideally with an electric whisk, a hand whisk or otherwise with a simple spoon. Our preference is for oat milk, and you?
  3. And there you have it, a mugicha latte!
  4. You can add agave syrup or honey to sweeten this drink: do according to your tastes!

🍪 For baking: We recommend about 10g for 20 shortbreads, for a cake or for about fifteen pancakes. You will need to adapt according to your tastes.

The barley in our mugicha powder comes entirely from French organic farming (Organic Agriculture label). We work with farmers based in the southwest of France.

It is roasted in the Tarn, near the crops.

The powdering of our French mugicha powder is carried out in our workshop in Yvelines, before it is packaged.
